Dr. Sunitha Jayarani

Dr. Sunitha Jayarani is a skilled Surgical Oncologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based cancer care with a strong emphasis on precision surgery and patient well-being. She believes in delivering personalized treatment that addresses both the medical and emotional needs of patients throughout their cancer journey.

She completed her MBBS from Venkateshwara Medical College, Puducherry, followed by DNB in General Surgery from KG Hospital and Research Centre, Coimbatore, and DrNB in Surgical Oncology from Thangam Cancer Centre, Namakkal. Dr. Sunitha has also undergone advanced oncologic training at renowned centres including Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and Cachar Cancer Institute, Silchar.

With extensive experience in complex oncologic surgeries, Dr. Sunitha is proficient in robotic surgery, cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with HIPEC, and Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS). Her expertise includes both minimally invasive and open surgical techniques, ensuring optimal tumour clearance while prioritizing patient safety, functional preservation, and faster recovery.

She specializes in the management of solid tumours, with a special interest in breast and gynaecological malignancies. Working as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team, she develops individualized treatment strategies tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr. Sunitha is also actively involved in academic and research activities and has received recognition at national conferences such as NATCON and MIDCON.
